"Tristan and Isolde" . Set Design

The stage design for "Tristan and Isolde" was inspired by Octavio Paz's poem Sunstone which then led me on to the Aztec culture. It was created by combining these areas with the main themes in the play such as the infinity of love and death, Tristan and Isolde as a unity against the society and the "world" Tristan and Isolde build for themselves as a place and a non-place. Important elements and keywords in the form of floating gardens, the circle as a symbol for eternity, the microcosmos and illusion, played an important role in the visualization of the play.
